Burdwan, 6 January, 2016: Yesterday at about 6 in the morning there was a horrible street accident near Technical College. According to police sources a bus was running at top speed. Suddenly its brake failed and it collided with a truck. Consequently 5 persons including a child and a woman were injured. Immediately after the accident the local people started rescue work. The injured were rushed to the nearest hospital where they were released after first aid. The traffic on the road was disrupted after the accident. Soon however the police arrived and intervened. According to the latest report normalcy was restored in the place.

 বর্ধমান, 6 জানুয়ারি, 2016: গতকাল সকাল 6টার দিকে টেকনিক্যাল কলেজের কাছে একটি ভয়ঙ্কর সড়ক দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। পুলিশ সূত্রে খবর, একটি বাস দ্রুত গতিতে চলছিল। হঠাৎ এর ব্রেক ফেইল হয়ে একটি ট্রাকের সাথে সংঘর্ষ হয়। এতে এক শিশু ও এক নারীসহ ৫ জন আহত হয়েছেন। দুর্ঘটনার পরপরই স্থানীয় লোকজন উদ্ধার কাজ শুরু করেন। আহতদের নিকটস্থ হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়া হলে প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসার পর ছেড়ে দেওয়া হয়। দুর্ঘটনার পর ওই সড়কে যান চলাচল বন্ধ হয়ে যায়। তবে কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই পুলিশ এসে হস্তক্ষেপ করে। সর্বশেষ প্রতিবেদন অনুযায়ী ওই স্থানে স্বাভাবিক অবস্থা ফিরিয়ে আনা হয়েছে।
